Terms & Conditions

Last updated July 2026.

01

Who we are

hapigift is operated by Santiagao Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17188667) with its registered office at 66 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NA. In these terms, 'hapigift', 'we', 'us' and 'our' mean Santiagao Ltd.

These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of the hapigift website and services. Please read them carefully and keep a copy for your records.

We sell to customers in the countries we support at checkout. The current list is shown in the country selector when you enter your billing details; if your country is not listed, we are not able to accept your order.

02

Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using hapigift, placing an order, or receiving a gift card through the platform, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

These terms apply to every visitor, buyer and recipient who interacts with the platform, whether as a guest or through a registered account.

03

Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to buy a gift card or open an account. By placing an order you confirm that you meet this requirement.

You may check out as a guest or create an account. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity that takes place under your account. Please tell us promptly if you suspect any unauthorised use.

You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information at checkout and to keep any account details up to date.

04

What we sell

We offer two types of product: digital gift cards issued by third-party brands, and the Hapigift Card, our own prepaid gift product.

Brand gift cards are issued by, and remain the responsibility of, the relevant brand. They are subject to that brand's own terms of use, and hapigift acts as a reseller rather than the issuer. We show the value, currency and any brand-set conditions, including any expiry the brand sets, before you complete a purchase.

05

Orders & acceptance

When you place an order you are making an offer to buy. A contract is formed only once we have accepted your order and payment has been authorised; your order confirmation marks that acceptance.

We may refuse, cancel or limit an order (including after a confirmation has been sent) where we reasonably suspect fraud, where an order breaches these terms, where a product or price was listed in error, or where a brand product becomes unavailable. If we cancel an order you have paid for, we will refund the amount charged for the cancelled items.

Prices and product details are shown as accurately as we can, but occasional errors may occur. Where a genuine and obvious pricing or description error affects your order, we are not obliged to fulfil it at the incorrect price and will let you know before proceeding.

06

Pricing & payment

Prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout. The price shown against a gift card is its face value. Where a service fee or tax applies to your order, each is added as a separate line in your order summary, and the grand total payable is shown and confirmed before you pay.

Payment is taken at the time of purchase through our third-party payment provider via a secure, hosted checkout. We accept the card networks shown at checkout (currently Visa and Mastercard). Your full card details are handled by the payment provider and are not stored on our servers.

07

Delivery

Digital gift cards are delivered by email to the address you provide, usually within moments of a successful payment.

It is your responsibility to enter the correct recipient email and details. We are not responsible for a gift that fails to arrive or is delivered to the wrong person because incorrect details were provided. If a card does not arrive, please check spam or junk folders and then contact us.

08

Gift cards, fees & expiry

We do not charge activation, dormancy or expiry fees, and we never deduct a fee from the balance of a card after you have bought it. A service fee may apply to an order; where it does, it is itemised in your order summary before you pay, together with any applicable tax.

Brand gift cards may carry terms, conditions or expiry dates set by the issuing brand; where a brand sets these, they are shown on the product before purchase and apply once the card is delivered.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for a brand changing its terms, restricting a card's use, or ceasing to honour its cards after delivery. Where you have a problem with a brand card, we will help where we reasonably can.

09

The Hapigift Card

The Hapigift Card is our own prepaid gift product. You load an amount and send it as a gift, and the recipient puts it toward an order on hapigift.

A Hapigift Card is for a single use. It is redeemed once, against one order, and its value is applied to that order at checkout. If the order comes to less than the value of the card, the difference is not carried over, cannot be redeemed against a later order and is not refundable. Please check this before you redeem, and choose an order that uses the full value of the card.

Please treat a Hapigift Card code like cash: anyone with the code can use the balance. We cannot replace a balance lost through a code being shared, disclosed or used without your permission. Hapigift Card balances are not redeemable for cash except where required by law.

10

Redemption

Brand gift-card codes are redeemed on the issuing brand's own site or app, subject to that brand's terms. A Hapigift Card is redeemed on hapigift, through the Redeem page or at checkout, and its value is applied to that order. As set out above, a Hapigift Card is redeemed once and any unused difference is not carried over.

11

Refunds & cancellations

If you are a consumer in the EEA or the UK, you normally have 14 days from the day your order is confirmed to withdraw from a purchase made at a distance. Because a gift card is digital content, that right ends once delivery of the code has begun with your express consent and your acknowledgement that you lose the right to withdraw.

So, in practice: once a code has been revealed, sent to a recipient or redeemed, it cannot be returned and the order cannot be refunded. Where delivery has not begun, or you did not give that consent, you can withdraw within the 14-day period by contacting us with your order number, and we will refund what you paid.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights. If something has gone wrong, such as a duplicate order or a card sent in error that has not yet been opened or redeemed, contact us and we will do our best to help.

12

Acceptable use

You agree to use hapigift only for lawful purposes. You must not use the service to commit fraud, to resell cards without authorisation, to launder money, to bypass regional or brand restrictions, or to interfere with the security, integrity or operation of the platform, including by scraping, probing or overloading it.

We may suspend or close accounts, and cancel orders, where we reasonably believe this policy has been breached.

13

Intellectual property

The hapigift platform, its content, design and branding are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Brand names, logos and trademarks shown on the platform belong to their respective owners and are used to identify the gift cards available for purchase.

You may not copy, reproduce or use our content or these third-party marks except as needed to use the service normally.

14

Third-party brands & links

Once a brand gift card is redeemed, the relationship is between the recipient and that brand, and is governed by the brand's own terms and privacy practices. We do not control third-party brands, their websites or their services, and we are not responsible for them to the extent permitted by law.

15

Availability of the service

We aim to keep hapigift available and running smoothly, but the service is provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis. We may change, suspend or withdraw all or part of the service, and may carry out maintenance, without notice where reasonably necessary.

16

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, for loss of profit, or for the acts, omissions, terms or insolvency of the third-party brands whose cards are sold through the platform. Our total liability arising out of or in connection with an order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order.

17

General terms

These terms, together with your order confirmation and any policies referred to in them, form the whole agreement between you and us about your use of hapigift.

If any part of these terms turns out to be unlawful or unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. If we do not enforce a right under these terms straight away, we do not give up that right.

We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation (for example, if our business is sold) without affecting your rights. You may not transfer yours without our written agreement.

We are not responsible for a failure or delay caused by something outside our reasonable control, such as an outage of payment or telecommunications networks, an act of a public authority, or a third-party brand withdrawing or failing to honour its cards. Where that happens we will tell you, and if the delay is substantial you may cancel an affected order and receive a refund.

These terms are between you and us: no other person has the right to enforce them.

18

Complaints

If something has gone wrong, please contact us first through the contact page. That is usually the quickest route, and we aim to acknowledge a complaint within a few working days.

If we cannot resolve it between us, you keep every right you have to take the matter further, including any dispute-resolution or consumer-body route available to you in the country where you live.

19

Governing law

These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer-law rules of the country in which you live, and you may also bring proceedings in the courts of that country.

20

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and your continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
